"All of us can think of a book... that we hope none of our children have taken off the shelf. But if I have the right to remove that book from the shelf -that work I abhor- then you also have exactly the same right and so does everyone else. And then we have no books left on the shelf for any of us."

Christmas Valley Summer Reading Program

Get a Clue fun Summer Reading Program activities for youth K-6th grade!

The Christmas Valley Library is holding a seven week Thursday Summer Reading Program, beginning June 28 from 9-10:30 a.m. and culminating in a celebratory party on Thursday, Aug. 16. There will be no program the week of July 2-6.

All summer reading participants will receive a certificate and students will receive incentives for the number of books they read.

The one and one-half hour program will include a story time, arts and crafts activities and/or special speakers and performers. All students in grades K-6 are eligible to participate. Grade is determined by whatever grade the student is entering in the fall.

Children are asked to bring a 1" school picture for a detective's badge they will make in their first arts and crafts session, June 28th.

For more information contact the Christmas Valley Library at 576-2336. We hope to see you!
