Libraries of Eastern Oregon awarded IMLS Grant!
The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) recently awarded the Libraries of Eastern Oregon (LEO) a $363,576 grant to provide "A Sense of Place" programs to Eastern Oregon Libraries.
LEO partners include The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, The Smithsonian American Art Museum, Portland State University, Oregon Council for the Humanities and others. “A Sense of Place” will bring together LEO partners under a common theme for a range of specific programs for lifelong learners in the arts, humanities and sciences.
The project is one of only three funded nationally under the IMLS library-museum collaboration category. More information about "Sense of Place" programs will be released as plans are made.
